Saves not working in Pokemon

Hi,
When playing pokemon i can save during the game but any save after my
first and when i try to load the save and it says the file is
corrupted and it takes me back to the first save. Is this something to
do with the files or what cause the saves are working but only for one
save then it just stops working. Just lots a lot of progress cause the
emulator reset and im pretty frustrated!
