When I miss a phone call, the Jabber icon in the Windows launchpad has a red circle that shows the number of missed calls. Likewise, in the Jabber window, in the left pane, the 'Recents' icon has a red circle and the number of missed calls. And in the Recents display, the name of the caller is in red.
How do I reset it to remove the red circle? The only way I found was to right click on the missed call and select 'delete'. But my preference is to keep the name and phone number there in case I want to return the call at a later date.
This is my experience as well. However, i don't want to see any "Recents" notifications for calls. I use my desk phone (not Jabber) for all calls, and even though I have unchecked the box in Options Notifications for "All Incoming Calls" I still get the popup. it's irritating since all I really want to see is new chat responses.
In Exchange Online, when you create a journal rule to journal email messages sent to or from recipients or senders in an Exchange organization, voice mail and missed call notifications generated by the Unified Messaging (UM) service are included. Use the procedures in this topic to turn this feature on or off for your entire organization.
Use PowerShell to disable or enable journaling of voice mail and missed call notifications. For information about how to connect to Exchange Online PowerShell, see Connect to Exchange Online PowerShell.
Now you have a local dummy extension that will execute custom code whenever it is dialed. You can include it in ring groups, or queues, etc. It will never answer the call, but whenever it rings it will execute the custom code. You have the basis for adding your own code for whatever you can dream up once you learn a bit of Asterisk.
you need to ssh root@your-pbx-address (if on windows, use putty) and give that command into the shell (you can also yum install mc, and then use mcedit /etc/asterisk/extensions_custom.conf instead - all that from under the ssh or telnet console NOT asterisk CLI)
For example let's say I lock my computer and go to lunch. If I miss three calls I'd like to be able to unlock my computer and see a floating notification window in the bottom right of my screen saying "3 missed calls" and when I click on it the main Jabber window would open up to the call log and show my missed calls.
It sounds like Dark Mode is enabled on your iPhone when the call is missed. When this feature is turned on, it's expected to see dark notifications. To change your Dark Mode settings, tap on Settings > Display & Brightness > Dark Mode. The iPhone User Guide explains this in more detail:
On the other hand, if you look at Notification Center on your iPhone and see that only her call notifications are dark while the rest are light, I suggest toggling Notifications off, then on for the apps in Settings > Notifications.

Please note the behaviour expected from the Ring Central account if our customer calls the ring central TFN it is should get route to the particular campaign and with in 3 to 6 rings my advisors should get notification & he should be able to answer the calls. However which is not happening the moment customer is calling to on out TFN without any notifications to the assigned extensions under Brosecure campaign calls are getting dropped which is reflecting in the systems as missed calls. Kindly look into this on priority bases.
Vonage Contact Center can send both visual and audible notifications to your browser to alert you to incoming, missed, or priority calls. Notifications are especially useful if your phone is on silent, or if ContactPad is not currently visible on your desktop.
In Firefox, the incoming call notification appears for up to 10 seconds.
In Chrome, the incoming call notification remains until the call is answered, rejected, or missed. If missed, the incoming call notification is replaced with a missed call notification.
When Vonage Contact Center routes a call to your personal queue, Vonage Contact Center sends a priority call notification to your browser. For information about personal queues, see Personal queues. If priority call handling is enabled for your account, you will also receive a priority call notification when a priority call is routed to the applicable virtual queue. For information about priority calls, see Priority call handling in ContactPad.
If you do not hear the chime, your browser may have blocked web audio from playing automatically. To enable audible notifications in your browser, in your browser's settings, add *.newvoicemedia.com to the list of sites that are allowed to play sound. Refer to your browser's help for information about how to do this.
I have a recurring problem that a set of skype chats and missed calls keep reappearing as notifications when I startup skype, even though I delete them every time. There is no specific pattern to it that I can see, no specific user or time of day.
i am writing an app with a BroadcastReceiver that writes notifications for each missed call. this works fine so far, but now i get two notifications for each missed call: one from my app, the other one is the standard notification.
In the FaceTime app on your Mac, move the pointer over the call window, then click the Video button or the Audio button next to a call. (You can also click a call in the sidebar, then use the Touch Bar.)
Return a missed call from Notification Center: Click the date and time in the menu bar at the top of the screen to see notifications, then click a call in the list of missed calls. See View app notifications.
When I have a missed call, I receive the missed call notification all ok. However, when I click on the notification, I only have the option to send a text (SMS) back to the person I missed the call off.
Tapping on the missed calls notification opens two options: "Message" and "Call back". Alternatively you can tap the dialer icon (in red circle). It will take you to the dialer app with the caller's number typed in.
Important: For notifications to work correctly in Voice on Android 13 phones, you must turn on notifications for incoming calls, text messages, and voicemail. Without notifications turned on, you may miss phone calls, or other critical Voice events.
We have noticed on a few occasions that our Polycom VVX 501 are sending a missed call notification to the users mailbox. This only seems to happen when Polycom phone is the only endpoint that the user is logged into at the time of the missed calls. Once the user is connected to the phone using BToE they will only receive the notification from Exchange. Below are the examples of missed call notifications (with the calling number changed) and the polycom notification clearly says Polycom at the bottom of the email message. Has anyone found a way to diable these notifications on the Polycom VVX phones thoguh a config block?
Thanks you for the suggestion. These notifications aren't the ones coming from Exchange UM for missed calls but seem to be placed directly into the mailbox of the user by the Polycom phone by using EWS. When Exchange UM missed call notifications are enabled there will be two email notifications sent to the mailbox (one from Exchange and one that has no email header informaiton and says "Polycom" at the bottom of the message).
The email is generated by "missed call notifications Unified Messaging (UM) mailbox policy". We just transitioned our VVX 410 phones (Skype for Business clients) to Microsoft Teams and Microsoft Phone System (cloud based). You can either address with "EAC"/Exchange Action Center or powershell. I was able to adjust setting following the "Use the EAC to disable missed call notifications for a UM mailbox policy" section of the article.
Alternatively, from your profile, you can set your presence to Do Not Disturb to block chat notifications and let your contacts know you are currently unavailable. Calls will still come through, however, unless you turn off Show call notifications in Settings > Notifications. Learn how to control who you receive calls from.
If you close the Skype app without signing out first, you might still receive notifications. If you want to stop these notifications, you can either disable them from your Settings or sign out before you close the app.
Your computer may still play a sound for new messages even though you've turned notifications off in Skype. To stop your computer from playing a sound when you get a new Skype message, select Settings > Notifications, and then turn Notification sounds off or on.
Well all the phones I have had which were non smart phones when I turn my phone off I have never gotten missed call notices. It stands to reason the phone needs to be on for that to happen because there is no power to the phone for it to register ia missed call so that's why it goes right to voicemail. Usually if I call my husband and voicemail picks up on the first ring then I know his phone is off and if it rings a bit then voicemail picks up then I know his phone is on but he is not near it to hear it. If you leave a message and the person checks their voicemail regularly they should get it and answer. I do anyway but my husband is a different story since he hardly uses his phone and then he will give someone his cell number and it could be weeks before he notices the voicemail icon so I try and check his phone every few days to see he doesn't miss anything that might be important. He is technologically challenged when it comes to this stuff. Mary
