Vasundhara is an association of like-minded youngsters striving for conservation of nature and natural resources since 5 years.
The members are from various backgrounds including environmentalists, scientists, students, engineers, advocates, finance analysts and other fields
Activities of Vasundhara
- Planting native tree species at Bangalore and outskirts of Bangalore.
- Environment and wildlife awareness program at urban schools.
- Wildlife advocacy.
- Awareness programs on snakes and conservation.
- Bird observation.
- Nature walk and summer camps.
- Rescue of All kinds of wild animals,snakes and birds in and around Bangalore and also treating them.
Plans for the future
- Greening of Bangalore.
- Campaign against plastic and encouraging jute bags.
- Recognition of the grass root level nature conservationists.
- Providing support to forest department by distributing basic essentials for field works.
- Supporting the nature research activities taken by individuals at their limited capacity.
- Recognize true wild lifers or wild life enthusiasts bringing them up and helping them to meet their daily needs of family. In case of any injuries or any harm to life of that wild life, we propose to take care of his\her family by providing them with basic facilities.
The association has come up with a corpus fund to facilitate the above mentioned activities and future plans.
Further, Vasundhara has organized a mega musical concert by very well known Musicians - Hari Haran, Praveen D Rao and Company on 19th of June, 2011 at National College Grounds, Bangalore at 5:00 P.M.
It would be a great musical night out with your family. Why shouldn’t you and we do it, if you get to enjoy a fantastic musical evening & the money spent is for a good cause.
