Hi Carsten,

I was hoping to use Spring for a rather complex helical structure. I have now installed it and was working through the tutorial and get the following error in the terminal. It does this in segment2d and springmicrograph.

Could you give me a hint on how to solve this problem?

I've also had to change the top line of the main 'spring' script to reflect the path to my installation to solve a 'command not found' error.

Traceback (most recent call last):
File "/Applications/spring_v0-83-1449/lib/python2.7/site-packages/emspring-0.83.1449-py2.7.egg/spring/csinfrastr/csgui.py", line 800, in jobDone
    os.rename(self.prgparfile, self.directory + os.sep + 'parameters.par')
OSError: [Errno 2] No such file or directory

Version 1449, running on MacOS Yosemit

Thanks,

Saskia

You should not have to do this if the installation ran fine.

Traceback (most recent call last):
File "/Applications/spring_v0-83-1449/lib/python2.7/site-packages/emspring-0.83.1449-py2.7.egg/spring/csinfrastr/csgui.py", line 800, in jobDone

OSError: [Errno 2] No such file or directory

This error must have popped up in the terminal from where you launched the 'spring' GUI. I suspect the launched program aborted somehow and therefore the temporary parameter file was already renamed before the GUI tried to it. This is not the actual error - you can ignore this. You will need to check in the console or in the corresponding report.log what has happened.

Best wishes,

Carsten
