Is it safe to write a file while calling FS.syncfs(false)?

Is it safe to write a file (located in a directory mounted as IDBFS) while calling FS.syncfs(false), or could it lead to race condition and file corruption?

I couldn't find anything about it, neither in the documentation nor in test_idbfs_sync.c.
