HL7 C-CDA to NEMSIS Patient/Payment/History Transformation Published

I have published a new XSL transformation that transforms an HL7 C-CDA R2.1 Clinical Document containing patient demographic, insurance/payment, and medical history information into the ePatient, ePayment, and eHistory sections of a NEMSIS EMSDataSet document. It can be used to import patient information into an EMS Patient Care Report.

 

Along with the transformation file, I’ve added a pair of sample documents: a Transfer Summary containing patient, payment, and medical history information, and the resulting NEMSIS output.

If you have access to HL7 Clinical Documents, I invite you to run this transformation on them and review the results. Please share feedback with me to further improve these resources.

 

I have also recently updated all existing transformations in the IHE EMS repository to support the latest release of NEMSIS version 3.5.1.
