EMS Chaired by: Rev. SHIV JI

Stage Sec.: Rev. Amit ji

Main Highlights:

1 For Simran we don't have to go some particular place or time, we can do it anywhere by true heart.

2 Some people pray without knowing God whereas others pray after knowing this God.

3 Just like, if a thief try to enter a house where people are sleeping, and if a child wakes up at that very moment, then because of that crying sound of child, that thief will not be able to enter house.. Similarly when we do simran, then at that very moment no thief (disorders) can enter in our thoughts.

4 One question is How to Do Simran: Saints answered it that "hath kaar wal, te chit yaar wal". Simran is not just reciting name again & again. We ought to do Simran like ladies, who carries water pot on their head, they don't have to given much attention to the pot. Likewise saints are always attached to God they don't have to focus on 'doing' simran.

5 Generally, we see that, we do simran only in difficult times. Like if someone has to face an interview, and there is 30 minutes time, then for that 30 minutes, he keep on doing simran, but moment that person get the job, he thinks he got the job, because of his talent only.

6 Simran is only when we have faith. We all make mistakes, and if we look at the word to word meaning of simran, then it is mainly seeking forgiveness for our mistakes.

7 Baba Avtar Singh ji says, everything has utility if it done at right time. Like in winter, if we have to take blanket, then it does mean we just can't take blanket in June month. In Kalyug, mukti is easiest. When someone utter "Guru Mantra" (even if he does not know the meaning of it) it will do wonder, but if someone do it after understanding the meaning it will do more wonder. Once Baba Gurbachan Singh ji was in Canada, and he asked Rev. Puri Saa'b to give Gyan to some local people (English speaking). And Rev. Puri Saa'b gave gyan and came back. Then Baba ji asked what is the Guru mantra you told them, then he said I translated the meaning of simran in English and gave them. Baba ji said, no this is not correct, you go back and give the Guru Mantra as it is. Guru mantra must be recited the way it is.

8 There is an ad. We know, "where ever you go our network follows" likewise saints says..  Where ever we go simran follows.

9 Recently Baba ji was in UK and after having dinner, Baba ji was walking. Many saints were also walking along, just  for getting chance to speak to Baba ji. Then at that point of time, Baba ji said, If you want to speak to me then I have a mobile no. Then saints walking along were very happy that Baba ji is going to give his mobile no. The Baba ji said pl. Note it : "Tu hi Nirankar, main teri sharan haan, mainu bakhsh lo"

10 Rev. Sandeep Gulati ji (Verbatim): Saints, there are always two ways of saying anything, or there is always a notion behind any word where in when we say a) what is pronounce and b) what it means. When I start from pronunciation of simran it says : "Tu hi Nirankar, main teri sharan haan, mainu bakhsh lo", earlier it was said, "ek Tu hi Nirankar…" and so many mahapurushas were pronouncing this way. When we just go through its line which says "Tu Hi Nirankar" then "hi" itself emphasizing that its one. There are not two. When we say "Tu hi" that means the only one. Now this is the pronunciation and what is coming in my thoughts, its symbol of forgiveness. When we pronounce it "Tu hi Nirankar" that is one statement. Next two lines are concentrating on myself : "main teri sharan haan, mainu bakhsh lo" There are two ways of living in this world. a) when I live in ego b) when I live while surrendering every single act. Saints have always adopted the second one. Whatever, being done from this body. Whatever I have in my pocket (Pocket is mean only materialistic part, it means knowledge, it means some good quality, some moral values, it means so  many other things) a gursiklh just surrenders those value to HIM. "E vi daat teri dataar" Avtar Bani says " lakh syana hove gursikh par aape nu moodh gine, lakh hive Sikh daulat wala guru charna di toodh gine" its actually surrendering myself to this almighty Nirankar. I don’t want to get into any kind of mathematics or dynamics or other strategies that I have done this /I need this/ I have so many values in me/ I often come to sangat/ I often do sewa, I try to follow whatever you say. I don't need that kind of calculations. What I need is "Mainu Bakhsh lo" because when we say Tu hi niranakar we are actually surrendering everything. To surrender my ego simran is necessary. On the hand we can say when we are surrendering, we are connected to Nirankar. Avtar bani says 'Jis gursikh nu nivana bhule otthe guru khalona nahi.."

When There  is me, myself, I did this, I want this,  then I am just away from Nirankar. So the simran actually cleanse me.

11 Rev. Manchanda ji (Verbatim): Saints we all are gursikh, lets assume take example of school, where students of all age is there like from KG to 12th class. There can't be one statement which says students should be like this and that students not behaving like that can't be called students. Similarly we all are gursikh after taking Brahm gyan. And these are divine and deep word 'simran, sewa satsang, satguru' so there can't be one statement. Any disciple any gursikh passes through diff. stages of gurmat. So the person who is in KG can't be said that he is not doing right. And the person who is in last standard, it also can't be said that he is the final whatever he is saying is correct. Gursikh is always gursikh, and these topics are not about debate, these are just to understand that, in what diff. level we all are living or where we are standing. Now coming specifically to few queries :
Q1) what is the correct way of doing simran ?
A1) "Tu hi Nirankar, main teri sharan haan, mainu bakhsh lo" Now if somebody is not able to do it like that, what will be the effect. However "Bhawana" is definitely above all. Feelings is of great importance. Whether while doing simran, I am feeling that this Brahm gyan, Satguru/Nirankar is most powerful and it is before me, and I am surrendering myself before Him.
Q2) How to do simran (with closed eyes or with open eyes)..?
A2) Of course with Open eyes. Baba ji has given a one step more that like we take breath even with open eyes or close eyes, likewise it is state of greatness where we have to reach.
Q3) Dhyan should be in Nirankar or in Baba ji ?
A3) When we say Tu hi Nirankar, we are remembering God but through Baba Hardev Singh ji Maharaaj. If somebody able to rember satguru in this form, it is okay. And somebody able to reach this nirankar form then also its okay, and it is stage. "Nirankar sakar tu.." and "Kahe avtar guru hi rab hai.."
Q4): Whether we should do simran loudly or aape hovega..?
A4) So it same like the boy is in KG or in 12th standard. So if is not happening "appe hovega" then "karna hai" . Target is to reach appe simran hovega. We are not asked to do sit and do simran at particular time. But we are asked to sewa. I've seen saints who have spent each moment in sewa and now simran is coming out of them automatically. Baba Roop Lal ji told that there are three stages of simran :
          i) Jaap : you are doing loudly
ii) Ajaap: you are not saying, but simran is going on, but you have feeling that I am doing simran.
iii) Ajappa Jaap: when we don't know, but every breath is doing simran. That is the state to be achieved.
Q5): How do we benefit from Simran? Or what are benefit of simran?
A5) In one line "it gives relief"
  Q6) When to do simran?
  A6) "ATTHE (Eight) PEHAR"

Blessings from the Holy Chair:

In school days when teacher told concept of math, and when concept was given teacher used to say that do enough practice so that concept can stay. Similarly guru has given the Gyan.

There are diff. stages when Simran happens
 a) when things are not right.
 b) when there is thankfulness of various reason

We as human beings, do lot of mistakes. And when remembrance comes that I am one of part of god we seek blessings for our mistakes. But for remembrance we need to know God, we need to know to whom we surrender and then all my actions goes to him, and he takes care.

We must feel the presence all the time, there are so many things which are happening and we sometimes are not aware how blissful we are. So simran is also a way to express our gratitude towards God.

Dhan Nirankar jee
