( PLEASE SHARE THIS GREAT LIFE OF THE TRUE GURSIKH AND OUR BELOVED SAINT SAJJAN SINGH JI TO OTHERS SAINTS ALSO BY COPY PASTE THIS PICTURE AND INFORMATION , SO WE TAKE INSPIRATION FROM SUCH GREAT SAINT OF SANT NIRANKARI MISSION.)
BHAI SAHIB SAJJAN SINGH JI was born on 18th August 1932, in Jhelan, Pakistan in the family of Baba Avtar Singh Ji and Mata Budhwant Ji. Amongst his siblings were Baba Gurbachan Singh Ji, and two sisters, Nand Ji and (Charanjit Ji) Jit Ji.

It has been said that once, an astrologer was passing by newborn Sajjan Ji's crib, when something about the infant caught his attention. He approached the baby, and was fascinated by his charm. It was at that time that he noticed a special mark on the child's feet, known as "Paddam", and proclaimed that the child was especially blessed.

Since the advent of the mission in 1929, when Baba Avtar Singh Ji met Baba Buta Singh Ji, the two formed a team to spread the spiritual light to as many people as possible. After Baba Buta Singh Ji breathed his last in 1943, Baba Sajjan Singh Ji spent his youth doing the same with Baba Avtar Singh Ji, till 1948.

Mata Budhwant Ji once saw Baba Avtar Singh Ji laying down berries one by one in a row on a table. When she asked its significance, Baba Avtar Singh Ji explained that there will be a time in which people will be lining up in a row for hours to touch the feet of the True Master, and might still be unable to get a glimpse of him - such will be the spread of the mission. Young Sajjan Singh Ji overhearing this, came to realize that if the mission is to spread to such an extent, there must be some organized to missionary activities so that efforts can be administrated in an effective manner. Then onwards, his mind started formulating some principles, over which everyone can base their life on.

On September 28th, 1948, Baba Avtar Singh Ji held a meeting and invited all his disciples to present some basic principles. Many wise saints had presented different ideas, some came up with few and some many, but Baba Avtar Singh pointed out the shortcomings in all of them. When Bhai Sajjan Ji wished to present his views, the saints were skeptical of the 15 year old boy, but when he presented the five principles, it was clear that divinity was speaking through his words. It was on that day, the following five principles became fundamental to every disciple's life:

1. All assets - physical, mental and material-belong to the Divinity and man, as mere trustee, is ordained to use them as such. One should not feel proud of their possession.
2. Not to be proud of one's caste, creed, race, faith and other class distinctions and hate others on this account. Man should be loved as such. One has to feel himself as one with whole human family and love the mankind.
3. Not to look down upon anybody because of his mode of dress, diet and living.
4. Not to renounce worldly life to become a vagrant recluse or ascetic but to lead family life in accordance with normal social norms and sustain family by honest livelihood.
5. Not to divulge the Divine Knowledge bestowed by the Satguru to others without his permission. Never to be possessed by pride because of enlightenment.

It was on his suggestion that an administrative body, called the working committee was formed in Pahad Ganj, Delhi and consisted of the seven stars.

Baba Sajjan Singh Ji is also revered for founding the Nirankari publication in 1948 with the help of Amar Singh Ji (Patiala). Around the time of India - Pakistan partition he realized that disciples were scattered all over the nations, and uniting them would only be possible with the help of the media. Thus the mission's first publication, "Satguru Di Lor" was authored by him, beginning a new medium for the mission's activities. In addition, he was also known to be a great poet.

Soon after these events, Bhai Sajjan Singh Ji fell very ill. At only 16 years of age, Baba Sajjan Singh Ji passed away, on 18th August, 1948. Since it was his wish that once a year, saints from all over should meet at one place, the first Sant Samagam was held on the 11th day after his death. Although his passing away was a great loss to the mission, no grief was visible at his funeral procession. Baba Ji called upon ‘the mourners’ to sing the praise of God and express their gratitude for what continued to be at their disposal as trustees of the divine gifts.Just as a ray of light approaching the sun merges into it; just as a drop of water becomes one with the ocean upon contact, the soul reunites with its source on death. It is also known that despite Mata Budhwant Ji, Nand Ji and Jit Ji's absence, the funeral procession was not deferred.
