1. This will be a good forum to learn about new things that have been
introduced from the last workshop in Entebbe, Uganda. Some of the
challenges remained reduced speed of access with increased number of
records. To this end, most people were unanimous about using MySQL as
the back-end.

2. I have now moved to an organisation that gives direct support to
Ministry of Health facilities, from District, sub-district and health
centre levels. The challenge is in ensuring quality data on paper-
based systems. I would like to know how other people managed. We have
an access-based system installed at the District level but the reality
is that some of these health centres lack electricity and staff and
may have to work with the paper-based systems for some time. Moreso,
the computer system does not entirely eliminate the paper-based
system.

3. I have never been able to install OpenMRS myself and found the
process to be too complicated (upto the point I gave up on it). How
did those who use it manage?

Many more to come...

Looking forward to the famed hospitality of Tanzanians...

I'll be more interested to present again ESOPE but with is new version :
- a lot of modifications to improve the software were made and that concern :
. facility to realise control of data quality
. data analysis, with possibility of data transfert in other software (analysis likeEpi info)
. date presentation, respecting the WHO cohort report
- Our center realised a lot of operational study due to recorded data of ESOPE
- improvement will be made for data manager for the national level (web control)

looking foreward to see all frinds to tanzania

It would be great to have your experience using ESOPE as part of the
workshop. It sounds like the software has improved greatly. We would
really like to know about the use you have made with the data.

Regards,
Mark
