There have been multiple topics in this forum regarding this problem over the years. However, not many have come to a solution. Some found a workaround through custom code some years back, but none of those seem to work anymore. I was wondering if anyone has found a way to make background videos auto-play on mobile devices (it works on some android devices), without having to replace the video with a gif or just a static picture on mobile landscape. Excited to see what people have done regarding this problem in 2020!
Hello,
I am using X Theme extended gym demo, and have video in the Slider Revolution. The video starts automatically on a laptop computer, but does not start on a mobile device (phone, tablet). How can I get the video to play automatically on a mobile?

Thanks!
We are working on a project where we want to deliver mobile learning content developed in Storyline 3 through our mobile app. We are currently doing this by loading the Scorm files from moodle and displaying these in a webframe within our app. Unfortunalety, when viewed on mobile, Storyline triggers a play button that we can't disable, and that is ugly and breaks the flow.
I'v already read that this is 'expected behaviour' of Storyline due to autoplay limitations on certain browsers. However, the play button is not acceptable to us, so we are looking for a solution (through javascript or output editing) to remove the play button or autoclick without the user noticing.
One simple and stupid approach is to have one blank slide before the real first slide and just have the trigger "Jump to next slide when timeline starts". This way the play button dissapears because there is no multimedia at the start of the project.
I have been searching all day. I know that autoplay does not work on mobile and that makes sense. But i want to know why is this not working. Is there a work around for this. The below code works perfectly on desktop but not on mobile.
I fixed it by just not using the touch event and relying on the click event which is fired after and setting touch-action: manipulation in the css. Not the best solution, but hey. Pretty silly the event becomes non-trusted on a tap on a control to play the sound with a prevent default so that it won't zoom in on a double tap.

Already did that. Even did some other suggestions like turning on and off airplane mode. Also reset my phone to factory. One even suggested changing sim cards. Not sure how that affects it. But I'll have to go to a fido store to do that.
Hey @vincesane when you did the factory reset did you restore the game or did you do a fresh installation? I've seen in the past if there is a bug in an app it would come back even after a factory reset if you restore.
Hey @vincesane after looking up the game I see a lot of people complaining about the same issue but unfortunately I can not see a good fix to this problem because you already did a factory reset and that should have taken care of a lot of potential causes.
Im your Savior haha had the same issue with my Samsung S20 FE took me a month to fix it. Go to your settings 1- connection 2 -Rseau Mobile , in english i think is mobile acces not sure 3- clic name point access 4- click add (right top corner) 5 copy all the things in my picture. 6-play the game , if dont work restart ur phone.-
Gaming has always been sort of an even ground, as everyone has the same console and gets a similar experience. However, in-game purchases give people who are willing to spend money an advantage over the people looking to gain skill. The further you progress in the game, the longer you have to wait, but spending money gets you much further ahead, no matter how skilled you are.
Furthermore, these in-game purchases or microtransactions are primarily marketed toward children. Marketing such expenses to children seems unethical, and there are many horror stories of kids spending thousands of dollars on games, putting their parents in a tough spot financially.
Mobile games also lower the barrier for entering the gaming community. With the widespread ownership of smartphones and the introduction of streaming services such as Stadia, games are more available than ever before. I still find myself doubtful I will be as immersed in or enjoy mobile games as much as on a console or my PC, but it opens the door for people with less access and people who are not willing to invest lots of money in games and gaming consoles. With mobile games, all you need is a strong internet connection and some willingness to work with the ups and downs of streaming technology.

The rapid growth of Live Play Mobile during the Covid-19 pandemic, when people were stuck at home and seeking new ways to connect to broader communities, saw the company attract the attention of multiple suitors. A year ago, Lewis-Smith agreed to sell the business to the UK-based mobile game developer Tripledot, which had just completed a Series B funding round valuing the company at $1.4 billion.
