Meditation and Mental Health Seminar 4th 5th May

I attach an e-poster for a seminar on meditation and mental health. The dates are 4th and 5th May.  Venue: Regents College, London.The seminar will address meditation and mental health from a range of spiritual perspectives, Sufi, Buddhist, Transcendental and Christian and also Mindfulness CBT as practiced in the NHS.

 

Speakers include Lama Yeshe Losal Rinpoche, Abbot of Samye Ling Monastery; Shaikh Kabir Helminski, of the Mevlevi Order of Sufis and authority on Rumi; Dr Norman Rosenthal the discoverer of Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD); Dr Shanida Nataraja, author of "The Bissful Brain"; Fr Laurence Freeman, Director of the World Community for Christian meditation; and Professor Peter Gilbert, Project Lead National Spirituality and Mental Health Forum and editor of the new Spirituality and Mental Health Handbook. 

 

This is a wonderful opportunity to engage with these international teachers and others on the issue of meditation and mental health.
