Hi David,
I too have had no experience of that law firm.
As a general thought has your client gone to the Law Society's website?
I assume they have information a) concerning specialist providers and b) those firms who provide "pro-bono" services ie for free. This might be a slightly different arrangement to "no win no fee" work...anyway it may be worth
a punt !
Additionally he/she might go to the local CAB/law centre, my experience is that they have quite a lot of helpful local knowlege in re lawyers and services. Also try "law on the web"
Don,
I'm not sure why we haven't been using employmentlist either-I wonder if its a "ripple effect"; one posting generates more response. So in that spirit I'd just like to mention
two things-firstly a plug for the upcoming NEHIN event in Bristol (20th July). We will have Dame Carol Black speaking and hopefully giving some feedback on the new Government's views on employment and health.
Secondly, what experience have you all been having with clients and Employment and Support Allowance?
Specifically, have you seen a rise in clients failing the WCA and being disallowed this benefit?
I have been advising clients to appeal (if needed); at least they get to remain on the assessmnet phase rate until the Tribunal makes a final decision,my impression is that the Tribunals service is inundated with ESA appeals-am
I correct?
best
Andrew
