The world of today is filled with all sorts of crimes. There can be some sympathy shown to the criminals of some of these crimes. But I have absolutely no sort of sympathy or compassion for rapists.
Women of today are bold and are equal to men in society. They have commanded respect in every field they have entered. But somehow rapists have no respect for women and for this they deserve no sympathy. Who gave these people the right to attack the victims? What do they think of themselves? Unless strict punishment is given to such animals, they will never improve. Do these perverted minds even know what sort of trauma the victim goes through? No, they do not. A murdered woman is saved from the lifelong trauma, but a rape victim has to live through the agonizing after math of an attack. It should be against one's conscious to commit such crimes, but then again do rapists even have a conscious? Victims of rape should not fear anybody. "Stand up and be bold. Be confident. Do not let one person's crime ruin your life. Face the society boldly. Face your attacker boldly. Do not let the criminal who did this to you go free, make sure that person rots in jail for the rest of his life. Do not fear the society's negative reaction to what has happened to you. Instead send out the message that it is the criminal's fault and not yours. Go join support groups. Take support and offer support to other victims. You have nothing to be ashamed of. You are not to be blamed for what has happened. Please do not think about suicide. You have a choice between life and death. Life is too precious to end with one's own hands no matter how traumatic one's life may be. Do not care about what other people say. Live for yourself, not for others. Take in only the positive thoughts and words of others and never take the negative ones. And remember Courage is not the absence of fear, but courage is taking the right step and being bold in the presence of fear." "Stand up, be bold and be strong, know that you have the ability to do anything and everything."-Swami Vivekananda. By Ashin bangalore, India, 15 years |
