Release: EMPAIA App Test Suite 3.1.0

The EMPAIA Development Team has released an incremental update of the EMPAIA App Test Suite (EATS). The new version includes an advanced Generic App UI for research and development, supporting “standalone” and “preprocessing” Apps that do not provide a specialized user interface (UI). The release also includes major performance improvements when writing bulk data in the Medical Data Service. This facilitates the development of “preprocessing” Apps that analyze a full WSI and produce large annotation collections. Part of the performance improvement is an asynchronous job input and output validation, that allows for deep inspection of nested data structures without a considerable impact on an app’s runtime.
