Hi there,

a further Question arised during my Usage of MFOEM for a Project at university:

I have some Input data which gives me the State "Enthusiasm" for the filmed Subject. I am not sure what MFOEM Occurent Emotion this shall be translated to. I tend to use MFOEM_000109 "feeling enegetic" for this. Whats your opinion? Or isn't enthusiasm not even an emotion from a scientific pov?

Kind regards from Germany,
Patrick

Hi Patrick,

Personally, I believe enthusiasm does count as an occurrent emotion and that we could consider adding it explicitly to the ontology. Emotions have objects -- you are enthusiastic *about* something -- while feelings (such as feeling energetic) don't (although they may have causes)

Best wishes,
Janna

Janna,

if you feel that it is missing, this woul actually be very helpful. I agree with you that the missing "target" makes "feeling energetic" not too ideal...

Best Regards,
Patrick

I added it -- you should see it updated in the master version in GitHub, it was assigned ID MFOEM_000200.

Best wishes,
Janna
