We are considering MFOEM to be used in an ITEA3 project. We will probably have to adapt it sligtly to fit our purposes. With that in mind, I would like to ask what is the copyright status of the ontology?

Hi Sandro,

MFOEM is CC-BY-3.0 licensed -- i.e. it is freely available for any use including adaptation, and we ask only that you attribute the source.  Please consider also sending us back the changes you'd like to see in the original, in case they could be of use to others as well?

Thanks for the answer. Is the license written in the OWL file? If not, I recommend adding it. Thanks for making it CC, btw.

We are still studying it. The main issue is that we are probably going to use a top-ontology other than BFO. I will come back to you if we produce anything that is worth to be shared.
