Once again, congratulations on winning a spot at the State Science Olympiad tournament to be held at Emory University on March 24th. We have an excellent competition planned!
I need to know how many busses will be on campus. PLEASE REPLY AND LET ME KNOW WHETHER YOUR SCHOOL IS BRINGING A BUS.
Please see important information, directions, etc. at:

Nothing has changed on the schedule (your team number has changed, but not the group your team is in).
I will have plenty of maps available the day of the event, and I will have a volunteer handing them out in the morning. It is impossible to put enough signs on campus to direct people around. Your students MUST use a map or risk the certainty of being lost (and maybe you should have one too).
I have also created this google map with important markers. Please share this with students and parents.

Lunch! On the google map above, I have put a marker for the Cox Hall Food Court. It has everything. There is also a Domino’s, Chipotle (new and closest to chemistry), Falafel, and other places in Emory Village. The Starbucks next to the Barnes and Noble bookstore has sandwiches, usually.
Please don’t stop on Dickey Drive to unload busses. This causes a massive traffic backup. There are 2 areas for bus paring on campus. If these fill, busses have to park at the Briarcliff Campus (Emory West).
Please enforce the no food in home bases. We had one problem with that last year, and it hurt our reputation on campus. Please bag up all trash (no need to remove it).
Lobby and Headquarters.
I will post answers to all questions I receive at in this google group. It is completely unprotected so it’s likely to get some spam. Sorry. Join!

Students competing in Protein Modeling must bring their own laptop. Only one can be in use per group.
We are looking forward to seeing you very soon.

Parking Information
More parking information from http://userwww.service.emory.edu/~mmccorm/SO/
1) ALL vans and cars should park in the Peavine Parking Deck or the Peavine Parking Lot located to the west of the gym. All parking is free (even if you have to take a ticket to get into the lot). Please save what little street parking we have for busses.
2) Buses should drop off teams either along Fraternity Row / Eagle Drive (the road with the driveway to Peavine Lot and Deck) or along Dickey Drive BEHIND the Chemistry building. If you stop in front of the Atwood Hall / White Hall, be very aware whether you are blocking the road. There is very limited bus parking on campus. Some busses can park on Dickey Drive right behind Atwood. These are car spots labeled for faculty and staff, but if they are free, busses are welcome. More bus parking is here near the Glenn Church: bus parking link FISHBURN DRIVE . If these spaces are filled, then we have unlimited bus parking at Emory’s Briarcliff (West) campus located approximately a half mile from the campus on Briarcliff Rd. At the conclusion of the Olympiad coaches may call the bus drivers to come and pick them up.
3) Directions to Briarcliff (or West) Campus. Emory West Campus (Briarcliff Campus)
- Take Fraternity Row to Dickey Dr.
- (R) onto Dickey Dr. to Oxford Rd.
- (R) onto Oxford Rd. to N. Decatur Rd.
- (R) onto N. Decatur Rd. to Briarcliff Rd.
- (L) onto Briarcliff Rd.
- Briarcliff campus is 1/4 mile up on your right

> Mike...would it be okay for us to bring food, but keep it in the
> hallway and not bring any into the classroom???
Water and a snack is ok. Leave the big food and coolers in the hall, please.
