No impound. Students "surrender" devices upon arrival (for inspection
then testing).

The temperature of the water in the beaker that is inside the device
will be measured by an electronic thermometer with an approximately 10
cm stainless steel probe. That probe will stay in place the entire
time.

When the final temperature reading is made, it will be removed and
used to measure the temperature of the external beaker.

Calibration graphs will be collected (but not necessarily returned)
after temperature predictions are made.
