This may be old news to the IRC network of friends, but if you know of caring Dari speakers who can help out contact Cheryl.

Peace,

Lia

Subject: Requesting possible help with Afghan Family - English tutor

[External Email]

Hi Megan, this is Cheryl.  I'm informally helping Lauren with families who have arrived in Gainesville through the International Rescue Committee (IRC). One of the families (mom, dad, son, and daughter) is from Afghanistan and speak Dari.  They have been taking English classes but are struggling for a variety of reasons.  Do you know of anyone in your circle of colleagues who speak Dari or know someone who might be able to help?

Cheryl
