Possible new feature: open search with no items in roster

Hi all
My client asked to add a new small feature: open the search users page
if the roster is empty.
Do you think it is an interesting feature, or do you have arguments against it?
If you like (or dislike) this idea please let me know.

For me sounds ok... maybe configured by meta tag is a nice addition... ;)
