Hi,
I am relatively new gwt developer. I am trying to compile a working
version of Hablar but can't seem to get it working. I downloaded the
trunk svn and created a gwt project but im seeing errors in methods.
Is there any other version i should be using to build?

Hi:

It might be a jdk version problem. You need a >=1.6 version of jdk to compile the code from java to javascript (just to compile, not runtime). You need also a gwt version 2.0 or greater... We use the google-eclipse-plugin... With jdk1.6, gwt2.0.3 and google-eclipse-plugin everything should be straighforward... can you detail what can of problems are you finding?

Bests,
dani

thanks for the help, i just tried it again and it worked perfectly.  I have never contributed to a google group project but i am very interested in helping with emite / hablar.  Is there any room for more developers?

I'm glad everything goes well...

And for sure!! There's always room for developers... I would recommend first discover which areas are you interested in, create some issues in the issue tracker (if they don't exist) that reflect the stuff you are going to do. Assign yourself to that issue(s) to let us know you are on it, and attach a patch to the issue when you finish the stuff. Please don't hesitate to ask if you have doubts.

Saludos

Dani, for clarity, are you sure that a reporter can assign himself an issue?

No problem, there could be a slightly different protocol.
Joe, either you report an issue and immediately post a patch, or
create an issue (or update an existing one) and tell in a comment that
you're working on it.

Thanks!
Antonio
