Hi all
As I have had a number of requests for me to sell my original artwork, I have decided to offer to do commission work on request.
Do you have a mineral specimen that you would like to see as a piece of art? Is there a specimen owned by someone else that you would like a painting of? This is subject to the owner and photographer agreeing to its use of course.
If the answer is yes, I will need at least a reasonably good photograph. Even better would be a number of photos from different angles, showing light reflected off different crystal faces. It should be noted that not all specimens are suitable for painting using the techniques I employ.
The artwork will be a watercolour painted on A4 black paper. The price is dependent on the amount of effort required but most likely will be around the AU$100 mark.
My guarantee: If you don’t like the result, there is no obligation. If I don’t think that it’s good enough, I won’t offer it to you.
Bonus offer: If the artwork is suitable for making prints, 10% of the price of each print sold is returned to you! 40 prints sold will pay for your investment!
