Pyrope is fairly rare in Australia, restricted mostly to some small kimberlitic rocks, e.g.: http://www.mindat.org/minlocsearch.php?frm_id=mls&cform_is_valid=1&cf_mls_page=1&minname=pyrope®ion=australia
If you go to some of these areas and pan the local stream s, you may get lucky.
