Hi Alan

Hellyerite crystalline specimens are very rare, and every specimen that I know of that has left Tasmania, has altered to a green amorphous mineral.

Hi Alan. The answer is "zaratite-like phases" (ref: new Catolgue of
the Minerals of Tasmania).

We do need to define what zaratite is a bit better, but its generally amorphous hydrous nickel carbonates, which fits the alteration product of hellyerite, even though it's not always so glassy as classic zaratite.
