Gucci Real Vs Fake Belt

Guccibelts have always been around but influencers really made the popular in the last two years. It was until six months ago or so that I found out Amazon sells really good designer dupes (belts in particular). It made me wonder which bloggers had the real belt versus the fake one, not that it matters at all but I was super curious. Some people are super transparent about it, while others buy the fake one and link out to the real one.

There are certain pieces in my wardrobe where I think the splurge is worth it but other times the dupe is just fine with me. I just wanted to do this blog post and help out those who are curious about the difference and trying to decide whether or not to spend money on this designer item.

I could see why you would be very cautious with this one . Gucci is one of the most faked brands out there . The purses and wallets have serial numbers stamped in gold underneath the hang tags . I'm not sure about the belts though . What's on the other side ? A lobster claw ? Any markings there ? How long is it ? If it is long enough to be a belt ......did you post on the fashion board ? There are some really experienced eagle eyes over there and Gucci pops up a lot . Good luck !

Thanks so much for your reply I will look into those services you suggested. The belt is like perfection it feels amazing on the back side & the numbers match up to the mens belt on the Gucci website so Im hoping it is authentic. But thanks again!!

@sheila9916 Folks here can only voice opinions which are worthless ... you need to find a professional authentication company and work with them. Compared to one from an actual Gucci store (or certified dealer) what was the price you paid on eBay? 1/2? 1/4?

@mr_lincoln Your condescending response is worthless as well as repetitive. The OP was already given the name of two Gucci authenticators and price paid is pretty useless as a means of authentication.

For starters, I bought a magnificent Prada genuine ostrich bag on ebay. It was still at retail for $1800 and I paid $325. No clue why it was listed for so little but I was thrilled. It was, IMO in unused condition and was listed as preowned but unused.

Bottom line is that price of secondary market items listed here is no guarantee of authenticity one way or the other and every item must be evaluated on its own. Some will prove to be genuine and some not. Some are easy to call out as fake or genuine and some need a pro. IMO, as stated, this belt needs a pro.
