How has Emily inspired you?

Hey all, Just wondering how Emily has inspired you. Dixie

I bought a banjo shortly after I graduated from college. As a player
of electric guitars, I had great difficulty with fingerpicks on the
banjo. So I just learned to play banjo without them.

Years later in about 2001, I discovered the Dixie Chicks. When I
realized Emily played banjo, I was inspired to see if I could adapt to
using fingerpicks. While on vacation, I played about an hour a day
for a week. By the end of that time, I fully adapted to using
fingerpicks. And now it is a LOT easier to play with them (and I can
play faster).

Emily Robison has inpsired me not to worry about the future. Because
when the BIG conflict started in 2003, Emily didn't complain and say
things like "This is horrible!!!," or "We're never going to have a
great currier anymore." No, Emily played it cool, and I'm proud of her
for that!!!

Emily inspired me because she has always remained to be herself. At the top of the success of the DC and during the downfall afterwards and still, at the moment they are struggling back to the top (where they should be!). She has never acted because she was expected to act in a certain way, she just did what felt right for her. To be able to do that, one needs to be very powerful and independent, that what has inspired me many times! Joost
