How a novice can make it to the finish line.

If you've always wanted to be a runner but have never jogged more than
three blocks without stopping, you're the perfect candidate for our 0-
to-5K training program.

All you need to get started is the willingness to budget 30 minutes
three times a week on non-consecutive days to train, plus the purchase
of a good pair of running shoes. You can pick up the shoes at any
specialty running or sports store for about $125. The time, however,
might prove to be a bit more of an investment.

For most novices, finding the time to run is harder than the actual
running -- especially if you aren't used to exercising on a regular
basis. But if a goal and a structured program are what you need to
keep you on track, this is the perfect opportunity to let loose the
runner within
