Former world junior cross-country champion Vivian Cheruiyot won the
Resolution Asset Management women's 10 kilometres road race in
Glasgow.
The 23-year-old Kenyan, runner-up last year, powered away from the
field in Bellahouston Park to finish with a time of 32 minutes eight
seconds.

Ethiopian Aslech Mergi was 11 seconds behind, with Hilda Kibet in
third.

Susan Partridge, returning from injury, led the British challenge,
finishing seventh in 34mins 15secs.

The largest women's 10K race in the UK attracted some 15,000 runners
