How to move from EmForge 0.26 to EmForge 0.34?

Hi Friends,

I want to change the EmForge 0.26 version that I am using to EmForge
0.34 latest version.
How do I do that?
Is it just jump the database and change the source base ?

Vikas,  welcome back into EmForge!

Actually, EmForge has "upgrade manager" which should automatically upgrade DB from previous version to new actual.

So, in general, you need simple redeploy new versino of EmForge with same DB settings - and it will automatically do rest upgrade options.
Of course, it is recommended to back-up DB for cases then something will go wronge (as well as previuosly deployed war - to be able easily roll-back to previous version).

Please - keep in mind settings - there are many new settings in config.properties, so, I've recommend to copy changes in config you did to copy in user-specific config-user.properties and keep original config-file from new version as it is (details available here: http://www.emforge.org/wiki/EmForgeSetupGuide#section-EmForgeSetupGuide-SomeCommonNotesAboutEmForgeConfiguration).

BTW: as far as I know, you used EmForge together with Liferay.
There are simple liferay-portlet for SCM available at: (http://www.emforge.org/project/EmForge+Liferay+Portlets) - it may be useful for you.

Speaking in general - I'm currently mostly concentrated on Liferay-based version of EmForge (it will be quite new product - but based on features we implemented in EmForge). I hope to do "Very Early Announce" here in a 1-2 weeks as well as deploy first version (and sandbox for playing) into www.emforge.net

Nice to hear that your are thinking of new product using liferay. Lifeay is really nice web portal server & I am sure EmForge & Liferay combination will work extremely well... the best one. I am interested in your new product.
