I did some extreme OCD detail polishing on the headrests. The chrome rods holding the headrests were covered in a layer of oxidation built up over the years plus they were very stiff to adjust, so I thought I would do a little bit of a enhanced interior detail.

Firstly I had degreased the chrome to free up any residual surface grease. Masked up the bottom base of the rests to prevent any excess polish getting to the leather, and covered the leather with a carrier bag. I used 000 fine steel wool to help agitate the polish when scrubbing the chrome and buffed the excess with a micro fiber towel. After putting in much time and patience I finally managed to get that restored shine back.

Big difference in the before and after but looking much more presentable and has helped knock of some years from the interior for the eagle eye viewer. I don't think it is too much of a big deal, but it is a missed area when cleaning up the seats/interior.

Thankyou Ashy ?. Yes they are a lot easier to adjust but I am more happy that they look better. Surprising the belt buckles and door handles don't get dull overtime, I assume they are chrome aswell.

A method i've used on chrome is tinfoil scrunched into a ball, shiny side out and water then rub - comes up a treat very quickly and lasts for a long time! Can be buffed with a microfibre cloth for an extra sheen too.

We recommend watching the installation video below before installing this kit. It is also strongly recommended that you test fit all pieces of the kit before removing the backer from the adhesive tape.

Tip: Please make sure to properly clean the vehicle chrome using soap and water, then apply rubbing alcohol to the chrome surface to properly and completely remove anything that might keep the adhesive from sticking. We highly recommend using an adhesion promoter on the OEM chrome surface and a heat gun to heat the adhesive so that it sticks to the chrome surface more securely. You can also use an adhesive glue on the back of the pieces to help them stick better. The adhesive tape may take up to 24-48 hours to fully cure and be secure.

Hello Manuel,
Thank you for your honest review. We strictly sell new products, unless specified as an open box or customer return in our dedicated category. It seems you may not have removed the protective film from the kit. With the film on, the kit may appear scratched as the film layer is very thin. Once removed, you will see the glossy black product underneath. If you encounter any other issues, please don't hesitate to reach out to us.

Looks great but unfortunately moves around when the temperature changes. It warmed up outside, now when I open my door it catches the piece behind it on the rear door and pops it off. Happened on both sides.

I have been super happy with all the other products I have ordered from highrev and for the most part these are no different. There is one huge issue I can see with these though. The amount of expansion and contraction with heat in the sun. Quite literally these things will grow an 1/8 of an inch on a hot day in the sun. I installed them on a cooler 70 degree day and got everything lined up perfectly. Then noticed on a 95 degree day the drivers part was catching on the passenger door. Went back out later that night when it cooled down and everything was perfect again. Problem is if you sand them to make them fit when it's hot they will be to short on a cool day. Honestly have never seen plastic that expands and contracts this much in the sun

Easy install. It literally took just a few moments to place this product onto the chrome areas above the driver and passenger side(s) windows. After peeling off the protective plastic from the black chrome delete overlay, it revealed a gloss black shine that perfectly matched the gloss black pillars between the front and back windows of my Accord. Very satisfied with this product.
