EMERSON: Applications to SAS Program Due May 6th & IHP Testing May 31

Applications for Emerson's School for Advanced Studies (SAS) program
for the 2011-2012 academic year are due by May 6, 2011. Applications
are available from Emerson or can be downloaded online by clicking on
the following link:

GATE identified students are automatically qualified for SAS, but you
still must apply. If your child is not GATE qualified, the student
can qualify based on a teacher recommendation, current grades and last
CST score.

If Emerson is not the student's home school, acceptance to SAS will
grant the student a permit to attend Emerson from the current grade up
through the 8th Grade regardless of whether the student continues in
the SAS program each year.


IHP TESTING: Students must test into the IHP program. The test will
take place on:
May 31, 2011
2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m
at Emerson

A second testing date will be announced for September, but it is
recommended that students take the test while the material is fresh in
their heads.
