Tdap Booster Shot for 7th - 12th Graders Required for 2011-2012

For the 2011-12 school year only, all students entering or advancing
to 7th through 12th grades will need proof of a pertussis (Tdap)
booster shot before starting school. For more information, click on

The Emerson website provides a phone number to find the location of a
free immunization clinic.

For all Emerson students, you must present written evidence to the
school from your physician or clinic that your child has received the
Tdap booster before THE FIRST DAY OF THE 2011-2012 SCHOOL YEAR or your
child will be EXCLUDED FROM SCHOOL ATTENDANCE. Please bring proof of
immunization before the first day of school.

Note that according to LAUSD, the requirement applies to both public
and private schools.
