Emerson Triumphs In Soccer, Rugby, Softball & Volleyball

Emerson Panthers have had a triumphant season in every sport
this year. This weekend, the Girls
Soccer team won 3rd Place at the Regional Championship. Last weekend, the Boys Rugby team won 1st
Place out of 48 teams in the Play Rugby USA Spring Cup. In April, Boys Softball team took home the
2nd Place trophy out of 32 teams competing for the Championship, and
Boys Volleyball placed 3rd at the Premier League Regional
Championship. Earlier this year,
Emerson made LAUSD Middle School sports history with both its Girls and
Boys Flag Football teams taking 1st Place in the city finals.

Emerson offers both boys and girls competitive teams in Softball, Flag Football, Soccer, Rugby, Basketball, Volleyball and Track & Field. In addition, students in the Emerson Sports Academy learn many non-traditional sports such as team handball, Chicago-Style Softball, and Ultimate Frisbee to name a few.
