Next Dads Group Breakfast is this Friday (3/17)!!

Attention Emerson Dads (and Moms, Grandparents, Significant Others and Any Adult who would like to spend more time with their student at Emerson)!

The next Dads Group Family Breakfast of the 2016-2017 school year is this coming Friday, March 17th.  Setup is at 7:30 am, breakfast is served at 7:45 am, and we will be wrapped up when it is time for our students to go to class at 8:30 am. I enjoyed the vibe and the acoustics of the auditorium last time (and we did a good job not making a mess) so we'll try it in there again and see what the group thinks.

Please join us for a pot luck breakfast with other Emerson families followed by some information sharing and other activities, including:
  • Information from our Principal, Mrs. Kaitz (schedule permitting);
  • Updates from the Emerson community and the PTA;
  • Special guest speaker, Dr. Greg Miller, Principal of John Muir Middle School; and
  • New and exciting game (time permitting and assuming I can think of one).

If you get a chance, RSVP with what you are bringing so we can build up some excitement, but don't shy away just because you didn't get a chance to RSVP.  Pastries, fruit, juice and milk are a few popular examples of things to bring (bonus points for hot food)!  Also, please feel free to share this invitation with others that you think may be interested but aren't included on this distribution (especially new Emerson families).  We've had amazing participation recently, let's keep it going!!  You've got to eat breakfast anyway so why not do it at school!  Spread the word! Don't forget to wear your green!

We'll bring some little muffins and some milk.

Dads Group:

Just a quick reminder about tomorrow morning's breakfast in the auditorium at 7:45 am.  We haven't seen any RSVPs but that's ok.  Just grab something to share and we'll see you there.  I'm hopeful there is a silent majority out there rearing to go!
