I know this is kind of "out there" but I'm hoping one of you can help.

Would any of you have any documentation of the registration fees for
OSCON? I found your reference to the conference here:
http://emerginglangs.com/2010/04/14/discount-on-oscon-registration-%E2%80%93%C2%A020-off/
and nothing on the OSCON official website mentions anything about
registration fees. I'm asking because I'd like to include 2012 OSCON
attendance in a grant proposal I'm writing and I have not had any luck
contacting O'Reilly directly.

Ideally, if you had a receipt email that you could send me (obviously
with your personal information blacked out) I would be extremely
grateful. I can be reached at indy...@gmail.com or
in...@geog.ucsb.edu. Both addresses make it to the same inbox.

Kind Regards,

I was a speaker so I received a complimentary registration.
Here is the pricing page for the upcoming "Strata" conference:

https://en.oreilly.com/strata2012/public/register

I suspect the OSCON conference is priced similarly.

I would think you could contact O'Reilly directly. My
contact was mailto:shi...@oreilly.com

Thank you, Tucker!

We searched high and low on the OSCON home page and even spoke to two
O'Reilly reps at the end of phone numbers listed on the OSCON home
page but neither one had access to that information. (Weird,
right?!) We sent an email about a week ago with no reply, so I took
to the Internet to find an attendee today. I sent one last email to
con...@orielly.com earlier this evening and someone responded within
an hour!

In case anyone else comes across this thread and needs to write a
proposal for 2012 travel that includes OSCON, here are the rates from
last year:

2011 OSCON Packages & Pricing:
Super Pass:
Early Registration Price: $2190 (thru July 24)
Standard Registration Price: $2290 (July 25 forward)
OSCON Classic:
Early Registration Price: $1990 (thru July 24)
Standard Registration Price: $2090
OSCON Session plus Tuesdays:
Early Registration Price: $1790 (thru July 24)
Standard Registration Price: $1890
OSCON Sessions Only:
Early Registration Price: $1345
Standard Registration Price: $1445
OSCON JAVA
Early Registration Price: $1245
Standard Registration Price: $1345
OSCON DATA
Early Registration Price: $1245
Standard Registration Price: $1345
OSCON Monday & Tuesday Only:
Early Registration Price: $1145
Standard Registration Price: $1245
OSCON Tuesday Only:
Early Registration Price: $695
Standard Registration Price: $795
Expo Hall Only:
Early Registration Price: $25

Of course, discount codes seem to be easily acquired, so if you aren't
covered by a grant, the price of attending could come down
considerably with a discount code.

Sincerely,
Indy
