Green Building Walking Tour of Portland
Saturday, September 12 10:00am – 3:30pm (Rain date Sept 13)
Join us for some exercise, education and fun as the USGBC Maine Emerging Green Builders take you on a tour of some of the "Greenest" buildings on the Portland peninsula. The tour will feature four LEED Certified buildings, including the East End Community School, Pearl Place Apartments, 6 South Street Loft and Waynflete School Arts Center. En route we’ll also stop and experience some interesting and progressive multi unit residences featuring deep energy retrofits, a miniature vegetated roof, solar hot water panels and a wood pellet boiler. Space is limited to 20 people, register here. $10 for members, $20 for non members. We will stop in the Old Port for lunch (not provided).
