PLEASE FORWARD ON TO ALL INTERESTED STUDENTS

The Maine chapter of the USGBC is pleased to present a one-day advanced
residential green building training geared for builders, realtors,
remodelers, architects, interior designers, and other interested
professionals. This in-depth training provides tools and strategies for
achieving the requirements of the LEED for Homes Rating System. Emphasis
will be placed on green building strategies and process rather than a
credit-by-credit review of the Rating System. Through this dynamic and
informative session, participants will learn about key green building
topics, including:

* Planning and implementing the LEED for Homes process
* Optimizing the overall energy performance of a home
* Using erosion control and native plants for a low impact building site
* Orienting the building for occupant comfort and solar gain
* Reducing domestic water demand inside the home
* Selecting sustainable building products and materials
* Improving building envelope performance for reduced emissions
* Educating homeowners and the public about green building features

Special Student Rate: $50
Members $200
Non-Members $225
