Hi! My name is Karen and I live in Santa Monica. My husband and I
have been interested in the emergent movement for many years and are
attending an emergent conference that Richard Rohr is sponsoring in
New Mexico in March. We would love to meet other Christians in the LA
area who are like-minded. Does this group still have a gathering in
Pasadena? Or anything on the westside? Thanks for your help!

Hi Karen,
I'm still looking to connect with the emergent movement too. I just
signed on to this group today, but it appears that it's been
abandoned. I don know that Oasis Christian Center in LA is
wonderful. I have a couple of friends that gather together who are
"emergent". It might be a great resource for you. I live in the city
of Orange, so I'm finding it harder to find a connection here behind
the Orange Curtain.
Blessings to You.
Z.

I live in Garden Grove and have been looking for an emergent church
since I moved back here from LA (not the biggest distance in the
world, I know, but still). I just stumbled upon this today, searching
for a church, and thought it might be a great resource...until I too
discovered that it's been a little abandoned/ under-cared for. I
heard that "The Gathering Community," a kind of sub-church at The
Crystal Cathedral, was emergent/progressive, but I don't know if
that's true, since I'm always busy on Sundays when they meet (at
11am).

So Z, if you have know of anything, or want to talk about how
frustrating it is to find such resources/community, hit me up.
