hello, all. i'm new to the emergentpdx group. i found you on emergent village where i have poked around quite a bit. i don't know how i missed it before, but the last time i was poking around, i found the googlegroup info., and i'm excited to have found believers who seem to be of kindred spirit here in portland. i started my own meetup group for those who are drawn to the emerging conversation, but so far, i'm not sure it's attracting the kind of folks i was hoping to reach. feel free to check it out, http://www.meetup.com/the-portland-emerging-christians-meetup-group/, and maybe even to join and come to our first meetup this friday, jan. 9, 6p. the info. is on the site.

 

in the meantime, i would love to hear from some of you regarding what you appreciate about the "official" emergent group here in town. i'm particularly wondering, as a woman, if i will have feminine company when i come to the discussions? please say yes! :-)
