How to save log data to a file from gui?

I’m trying to save log data from the gui to a tsv or csv file. First, there is no obvious way to try to do this from a log file in the left panel, as far as I can tell.  On the main window I can try to save the data file for  the current plot as long as I pick a directory and give it a new file name.  But what if I create a log file, but don’t plot it?
