Problem with installing and building emergent with leabra@v1.2.9

I have students who are trying to install emergent and several are getting the errors in the screenshot.  I’m confused because it refers to code in lea...@v1.2.9 which is the latest version, but when I look at 1.2.9 it only wants two arguments when the build process is saying it needs 3.  I believe these were all true of some early versions of emergent but not the new one. 

Anyone have any idea what could be going on?
