Subject: New paper: Evidence-based chlorination targets for household water safety in emergencies
This paper will be useful for emergency WASH responders because it shows how we can use modelling to generate site-specific and evidence-based
chlorination targets that outperform the Sphere chlorination guidelines with respect to household water safety in refugee/IDP camps, while remaining within normative chlorine taste and odour acceptability limits.
These analytics form the basis of the
Safe Water Optimization Tool, a new web-based tool that helps humanitarian responders generate site-specific chlorination targets that improve household water safety outcomes in refugee/IDP
camps. (My colleague @Matthew Arnold was
recently in touch with you about the launch event for the SWOT -- thank you for circulating the event invite to the group!)
We've also prepared a tweet thread summarizing the main findings of the paper, if this might also be helpful or relevant to share:
Thank you so much Dan. If there's any more information I can provide, please do let me know.
Warmly,
Imran
