Year in Review
USAID Water Security, Sanitation, and Hygiene Highlights from 2020

What a year it has been.

As the global community has worked together to contain the spread of COVID-19, USAID and our partners have remained undeterred in our mission to facilitate water security, sanitation, and hygiene around the world, empower communities to protect themselves, and stay one step ahead of the virus.

But the story of USAID’s water security, sanitation, and hygiene programming achievements during the past 12 months cannot be viewed solely through the lens of COVID-19. We have also been busy building the evidence base to inform current and future water security, sanitation, and hygiene programming, launching new private sector partnerships to accelerate the delivery of sustainable sanitation solutions, and doing our part to put the U.S. Government Global Water Strategy into action.

Have a look at our “Year in Review” retrospective to see the progress we have made together during this year of unprecedented challenges, and see for yourself how we are building bridges to a more water-secure, healthier, and prosperous future for all.
