Why you just changed that? Everyone knows that playing through the EA's data centers is the worst experience ever if you're not close enough to one of those servers, but we understand that for competitive modes is a must for many reasons, like cheaters/hackers who in the past exploited the p2p vulnerabilities.
But force people, friends, to play online friendlies using also data centers - literally a NON COMPETITIVE mode, a mode just to play for fun with your friends, it's totally ruining what was left of fun with this game. The game is unplayable (the same complaints every year your receive from UT players), and I don't understand, why the change? It's about the new crossplay capabilities? I would understand if at net-code level there's a need to translate instructions between platforms, but in that case allow people to go back to p2p switching off crossplay. I don't see another reason, like cheaters, since I guess your anticheat software is working.
I used to play with my friends here in the same city at a beautiful 4ms latency, was just like LAN play... now we have to connect to a Miami data center at 60ms for each one (120ms in total for both sides) and it's unplayable on peak times, like FUT champions weekends...
It's a disgrace. I regret spending money on this game this year. Playing any competitive mode from West Africa is a pain and I just found out even Online friendlies are hosted on servers. Even playing with friends we have to play on 130+ ms. Hmm
I pre ordered the ultimate edition for EA SPORTS FC and i have found when ever I play an online mode I have a crazy amount of input delay. I do not have a super pc although my pc just barely exceeds the recommendations. Plus I average 60-70 fps throughout the game and have less than 40ms but still experience a crazy amount of delay. My controller and pc are good and that I never had this issue last FIFA. I have lowered all my graphics and tried many things but it seems that I cant get rid of this online delay. Plus I don't understand why I can play squad battles and any other single player mode and it is super clean with no delay but every time I play an online game, I play 10 minutes then all of sudden I have a huge delay. This overall has nothing to do with my game, pc, or WIFI and that I will like you guys to look into this issue. I should not be experiencing and unplayable 120 dollar game that has an almost 1 second delay. Please look into this issue and fix this bug, as I wish to play this game and enjoy it.
Usually this problem present on very good internet connections and this happens coz EA have a lag compensation system on the servers , what this mean? When you play against somebody who have bad ping, bad connection, let's say 160ping and you have 30ping the lag compensation compensate this difference with technical lag to your side to balance the difference between you (30ping) and him (160ping) so finally you have 160ping and the opponent 160ping, but this thing works pretty bad for us with good internet connection.
every fifa has input delay, but when I play seasons, I can play smoothly no input delay whatsoever.
When I play ultimate team, the game is like a turtle. I can really spot the difference.
Any help from pro gamers. I have tried almost everything . Dont tell me to play with cable.
Whoever is facing the problem and reading this post make sure to log in and press the button where it says you are facing the issue as well. Need more upvotes on this post so that EA notices it fixes it asap. Report this issue as much as you can, so that they fix it. If they don't fix it in the first week, let's take refund and peace out. The game and soundtracks suck anyway and is not even close to fifa 23.
I moved it to the FC 24 boards. I'd like you to run the Connection Quality Report and get me a screenshot of the overall score as well as the match history. You can find the button for that on the left side of the screen. Thanks!
So... I'm having issues when playing Fifa 20. The gameplay is truely horrible and im very reliant on using a gaming vpn to connect to the online services. The problem being, this is not realiable so, more often than not, the gameplay is laggy, slow, unresponsivness etc etc
I just dont understand why my gameplay is so bad at the weekend, even my gaming vpn isnt good enough to help me. I can report a low ping of 18-24 but, the delay and what not makes it unplayable. Are we saying this is all EAs doing?
You can't, and as I said 100% packet loss just means that particular server didn't respond. As long as there is no packet loss shown at the destination all is well. If the packets were really lost in transit how would they magically arrive at the destination?
Hello guys, as I'm really into getting all online trophies of every closing game when they announce it, I've decided to start this thread to keep it constantly updated with new info about the shutdowns.
My intention is to track all of the shutdowns, which I keep researching all the time. Also, a bit of help from the community will be much appreciated. So, basically, if you see a new info about an upcoming shutdown, please message me in PSN, PSNP, anywhere xD.
This thread will contain info with help from PST thread, where users always come up with new shutdowns announcements, and tweets I come across (really powerful channel of communication with the devs).
(Be careful about the games listed here, their servers aren't necessarily available. They are moved here because they weren't shutdown after the given date for whatever reasons, who knows when the publisher will decide to kill them for real: always check the game threads for useful information)
PSV - Modnation Racers Roadtrip - 1st of July, 2017 (Lenghty community trophies, however there is a great group here, under gaming sessions. Be careful, there is an Ad-Hoc trophy which requires a downloaded track, which will probably be potentially missable after the shutdown).
That is a very hard guess, but we're seeing more and more shutdowns coming in the last months, so I'd advise for everybody to complete any games they have with online trophies cause many might come without warning. Sometimes old games stay opened for years and sometimes games are shut down with less than year, as an example, Kill Strain
Nice one!...I always keep ma eyes on that PSTrophies.org thread but sometimes I forget to go there, since I come here more often this oughta help.Seeing Road Trip there is quite sad...another plat I'll miss.I really need to give priority to old games.
Guys, is there a way that this topic gets stickied or more exposure? Just found some guys asking in another topic for a list of upcoming shutdowns, so it would be nice if people had more access to this info here ?
Are you sure Project Cars is actually shutting down? Because ceasing to send challenges doesn't mean server shutdown. For example, MotorStorm Apocalypse for the PS3 had Weekly Challenges, now they're no longer active, but online play (and Platinum, which didn't require them, though) is still available.
Also "we're seeing more and more shutdowns coming in the last months"... it's always the same dozen of useless crap (mostly sports/mobile) every few months or so. There are still games with servers active since 2007 or before lol.

You've got a point there! Project Cars servers are going to stay up for online play, however the plat will be unobtainable due to the challenges, so I'll make that change in the original post, thanks for noticing this.
Actually, of course the list has a majority of sports games, but we're starting to notice the companies dropping a lot of online servers for old games. Since last year, more and more non-sport yearly games have been shutdown, so we should expect the number rising as PS4 consolidates each time more. PS3 will be considered more and more obsolete by Sony and other companies, and we'll start getting more unobtainable platinums.
You must not forget that from companies' viewpoint, trophies are simply useless, so we could say that the announcement from Sony, was the biggest they have made (they are dropping games like Sports Champions, which if I remember correctly had only leaderboards features).
From my point of view as I have been hunting all the shutting down servers in the last few years, it tends only to increase in the near future. Just an assumption which might be wrong (hopefully it is), but we can't think the community cares a single bit for trophies. Dedicated trophy hunters are less than 1% of the whole PSN.
Since you're keeping track of this, could you actually keep track of how many shut downs there are in each month and then go back and see how many there were in previous months? In my last research, there were peaks and valleys, but largely the same number of shutdowns relative to the number of games released.

No doubt it's a puzzler and you are right to think of these possibilities. It's just that we have strong evidence from all directions that his actual traffic is totally fine... Packetlosstest.com and iperf3 and MTR and pcaps during play all show nearly perfect performance
5 6 months ago I only played 3 games, we are almost next to the border, I only played 3 games and the game went perfectly, I was with his console and his controller, only in therefore he reported to me that a few games later the game deteriorated, my brother has a belkin rt3200 like segal and me and we have to from time to time (maybe placebo restart the boxes of our ISPs as well as the routers to better gameplay...before we start our session
