FYI
---------- Forwarded message ---------- From: PTC Foundation <c...@primarytraumacare.org> Date: Monday, March 7, 2016 Subject: Calling for PTC instructors for Somaliland To: Juma <jumamf...@gmail.com>
We already have a specialist in emergency medicine who would like to start PTC training in Somaliland and we are now calling for more volunteers to help us create a team.
Where is it? Look it up on Google maps and you will see that it is in the Horn of Africa, on the Gulf of Aden; the capital is Hargeisa. It is a relatively peaceful state, close to Somalia but very different from its troubled neighbour.
The Somaliland Emergency Medicine Association would welcome the opportunity to host PTC courses starting in November this year.
The snag: there is no grant funding so you would need to fund your own travel. But it could be the experience of a lifetime to work for a week with a small PTC team to help them get established in Primary Trauma Care and bring hope to many people in that small country.
If this appeals to you just reply to this email and I will pass your name on to the organiser who can then answer any questions.
With best wishes,
Charles Clayton Chief Executive
Primary Trauma Care Foundation
