All,
I am pleased to announce the immediate availability of the first cut of InCAST Web Edition. This is an alpha version (0.1) that has been in the source tree for a month or so, but I was able to package it for a more convenient download and install (of course, convenience is a relative term at this point... the install process will get simpler as we get to the official Release
1.0 in September 2008).
The download is available on the
project site at Google Code.
There is a basic
README file for installation. This is a developer release, meaning you should know what you are doing before you install it.
The next milestone release (Alpha
0.2) is on 14 January and should include a
number of features/fixes.
For the entire release schedule, please navigate the
project timeline. As I put more features and defects into the queue, you will be able to filter the issues list to see what will appear in the rest of the milestone releases. Currently there are only a few things for the Alpha
0.2 release and a couple of others.
If you know of any Java / Web developers, Quality Assurance testers, or documentation specialists that would like to contribute to the
InCAST project, please send them my way.
Happy New Year!
