Hi everyone

I was just wondering if the following might be of interest to you:

Alongside my esteemed colleagues and co-authors, Steph Broadribb and
Anna Peachey, we have been using Second Life to support both student
and staff development activity at The Open University
(www.open.ac.uk<http://www.open.ac.uk/>) for a few years now.

At 8am PST (or 4pm GMT for fellow Brits!), we're delighted to be part
of the 'Higher Education Seminars in Second Life' series, where we
will be holding a session relating to our recent book chapter
published in Higher Education in Virtual Worlds: Teaching and Learning
in Second Life (http://books.emeraldinsight.com/display.asp?isb=9781849506090&CUR=GBP).

So, if you are interested in hearing about how we have used Second
Life for both distance learning and on-site blended course delivery or
are just interested in joining our tour of the Open University SL
islands, then please do come along and say hello! Hopefully the
session will be useful for both academics and practitioners alike.
