Hello,

I would know if it's possible to run pjsua on Stm32f746disco.
i have read on a blog that you made  only simpleua and not pjsua on stm32f4-disco  because of  a too small amount of RAM.
Is this true also for the stm32f746-disco?
I would be really nice to make sip voip calls from this board.

Thank you for you help.

Felix.

Hello Felix,

We guess launching pjsip on Stm32f746disco is possible. Previously, we have done several steps towards the goal:
simpleua on stm32f4 (as you stated above), audio support on qemu (x86/arm), audio support on Stm32f746disco.

We are planning to continue working on this task in this month, and we let you know if anything changes.

Best regards,
Alex

Hello Alex,

I have tested audio record and play and I'm happy to see that it works very well.
I hope you'll succeed in porting pjsip  on stm32f746-disco.

Have a nice day.

Felix.

Hello Felix!

We have finally found time and ported PJSIP to STM32F7-Disco board.
Now you can make and answer calls with simple_pjsua (light version of pjsua). If you have two free sip.linphone.org accounts (or some another SIP server), you can use them to call Embox.

There is 320 KB available RAM on STM32F7-Disco, while PJSIP requires additional 128 KB, so we use SDRAM to get 128 KB.
But if you have another Cortex-M7 MCU (e.g. STM32F769NI) with 512 KB RAM, you can run PJSIP fine without using SDRAM.

If you want to try this, you can follow https://github.com/embox/embox/wiki/AUDIO-on-STM32

Best regards,
Alex
