Hi Lena,
You may have set a stitch somewhere outside of the embroidery area. When you have the design in the hoop in Editor, click on it and look over in the right panel. Is the box around the thumbnail icon black or red? If it is red, this indicates that there is something in the stitch file outside of the hoop. Try centering the design. Under Options, try checking Add jump to first stitch and also Add Back to Origin Stitch. Then resaving. My Brother machines seem to like these checked – other machines don’t.
I did have a slightly strange thing happen to one of my designs the other day. I edited it in Studio, then converted to PES in Manager. It had a jump stitch between two objects that had not been there before – and it jumped out and back again. I had not even edited that part of the design. I only noticed because it was supposed to be the same size as another design – and wasn’t. I had to go back to Studio and in Edit Nodes Mode, use Align Beginning to Next object (or Align end with Previous Object) to move the two nodes together again. And then it was fine.
