Hello,

I created a file in studio, complied it, stitched it, edited it a few more times, stitched it again. Then I edited it once more and it will not save without presenting the error

"Design not fit within the embroidery field 180.0 x 300.0mm (7.09x11.81)" Continue Anyway?

The hoop I am using is the Brother Innovis 180x300 in the horizontal position. I tried it in the vertical as well. Same error.

Also tried reducing my image dimensions in a new file, same error. I need help, please. I don't want to completely recreate my file from the beginning.

Thank you in advance.

Hi Lena,

You may have set a stitch somewhere outside of the embroidery area. When you have the design in the hoop in Editor, click on it and look over in the right panel. Is the box around the thumbnail icon black or red? If it is red, this indicates that there is something in the stitch file outside of the hoop. Try centering the design. Under Options, try checking Add jump to first stitch and also Add Back to Origin Stitch. Then resaving. My Brother machines seem to like these checked – other machines don’t.

I did have a slightly strange thing happen to one of my designs the other day. I edited it in Studio, then converted to PES in Manager. It had a jump stitch between two objects that had not been there before – and it jumped out and back again. I had not even edited that part of the design. I only noticed because it was supposed to be the same size as another design – and wasn’t. I had to go back to Studio and in Edit Nodes Mode, use Align Beginning to Next object (or Align end with Previous Object) to move the two nodes together again. And then it was fine.

You don't say how big the design is.  In editor, what hoop size is selected when you compile the design?  Sometimes with brother designs embird seems to like to pick whatever hoop size it wants.  I've sent designs to editor that are less than 4 x 4 and embird decides I have to use the 5 x 7  or 6 x 6 hoop!  It sounds like your default hoop is smaller than your design OR there is a stray stitch or two going out too far.

Lena,

Try zooming way, way out. You may have a stitch or two out there
somewhere. You can also highlight all the elements and see if one of
them is out of bounds.
