Embird on Mac using VirtualBox

Greetings.  I get the following error when I try to launch Embird 2015 or 2016 in VirtualBox on my Macbook Pro:

"An attempt to use a virtual PC has been detected. Please close all PC emulators and try again"

I have no problems running my previous version of Embird 2006 on the same Macbook and VirtualBox, in a Windows XP environment.

Now the Macbook is running OS 10.10.5  Yosemite, and VirtualBox Version 5.0.6 r103037 - in a Windows 8.1 environment.

Has anyone else successfully run Embird 2015 or 2016 on a Mac using VirtualBox?  Is it possible to run Embird 2016 on a Macbook using VirtualBox?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I'm having the same issue - I just reinstalled Embird as I had a problem with my old Virtualbox machine, and now it won't open at all. I've emailed support to see what they say to fix it, but won't be happy if they've blocked people from using virtual machines.

I'll be anxious to hear the outcome.  I was just about to breakdown and put Windows 10 on my Mac because I miss some of my PC programs.  Had been hoping for a Mac version but it's been 2yrs since that rumor was out.
